Władek Sheen Releases Second Single “ostracized myself” Ahead of Debut Album
Władek Sheen is a Korean-Uzbekistani independent artist from Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He is a founding member of the alternative rock band Cruel Tie and has performed hundreds of shows with the band since 2011, including opening for The Jesus and Mary Chain in 2018.
In 2023, Sheen began releasing solo work that blends guitar-driven styles such as noise rock, britpop, shoegaze, dream pop and punk, while also exploring alt-pop, baroque pop and synthwave. His upcoming debut album, miserable play, is currently in the works.
The second single from the album, ostracized myself, mixes pop-punk, noise rock and indie with hints of shoegaze and midwest emo. The track works as an inner monologue of someone struggling with isolation and rejection. Sheen sings openly about mental breakdowns, lost connections and the tendency to push others away. In doing so, he turns personal vulnerability into a source of strength.
Despite the heavy theme, the song remains emotionally open, balancing moments of irony, despair and hope. It captures the experience of feeling cut off from others while finding a way to process it through music.
With this release, Władek Sheen continues to develop a distinctive voice as a solo artist, offering listeners music that is honest, raw and relatable.
