Rap / Hip-Hop Artist

Born and raised in Johannesburg East, Hamilton B. Castigo, better known as Yungiiie, is a Hip-Hop/Rap artist currently based in Midrand. In 2019, Hamilton both completed his school matriculation and launched his rap career with the release of his self-produced EP, God’s Misfortunes. Just a few months later, he unveiled a new persona and style, retaining the same colour and aura but doubling the ego, giving rise to REVENGE.

A few months on, following numerous collaborations and features, Yungiiie released the sequel mixtape, REVENGE, Volume 2, which was even more experimental than its predecessor. During this period, Yungiiie also teamed up with Otizz to release their elite EP, Welcome to Drill City.

The following year marked Yungiiie’s least active period, with only a handful of singles and collaborations alongside both familiar and emerging artists. However, 2024 signalled the birth of a new character: someone nonchalant yet lyrically lethal, soft yet unyielding as stone. As he prepares for his forthcoming debut, Yungiiie continues to evolve, and his project Pretty Boy Needs Love: Side B is on its way, promising to take his artistry to the next chapter.
