Stanza Lune Unveils Ethereal Synthpop Magic in Changeling (feat. Sunny Daydream)
Stanza Lune, a synthy, sapphic, survivor songster, has long been crafting music for the moon, and their latest release, Changeling (feat. Sunny Daydream), is no exception. With a career that has taken them from Vancouver Pride to the Vancouver Fringe Festival, and collaborations with indie darlings such as Penelope Scott and the Bookish Songs Collective, Stanza Lune has consistently carved a space for themselves in the indie music scene.
Much of their creative inspiration stems from the video games and cartoons of their youth, a nostalgia that manifests in unique melodies, poetic lyricism, and the dreamy, synth-laden tones of their Suzuki Omnichord. As a neurodivergent, nonbinary lesbian, Stanza Lune’s identity profoundly informs their artistic process, weaving layers of queerness, resilience, and authenticity into every track.
Changeling is a soft, dancey, synthpop gem co-written with Sunny Daydream and produced by Stanza Lune themselves. The track is an ode to unmasking, nonconformity, and discovering one’s true self. It is music for dancing with fairies in the twilight, deep within the Pacific Northwest forests that feel like home. Gentle yet insistent, the song celebrates the beauty of simply existing, an affirmation for queer, neurodiverse, and disabled femmes everywhere.
With Changeling, Stanza Lune continues to prove themselves as a singular voice in synthpop, one who transforms personal experience, whimsical inspiration, and unapologetic identity into something truly magical.
