Josef Green Releases Heartfelt New Single ‘Forever’

British singer-songwriter Josef Green is making waves in the UK R&B scene with his latest single, Forever. Hailing from Woolwich, South East London, and deeply rooted in Jamaican heritage, Green has cultivated a sound that fuses the smooth melodies of ‘90s R&B with the rhythmic pulse of Reggae and Dancehall. His mellow tones and introspective lyrics offer a fresh depth to contemporary British R&B.

Since the age of 15, Josef has been honing his craft, drawing inspiration from artists such as Donell Jones, Summer Walker, and Aaliyah. Over the years, he has collaborated with notable UK talents including soul icon Kele Le Roc, Bassline pioneer Dexplicit, best known for producing Lethal Bizzle’s hit Pow!, and the late Black The Ripper. These collaborations have helped establish him as a rising voice in the next wave of British R&B.

Forever marks Josef Green’s most personal release to date. The single is a heartfelt tribute to his father, who passed away from cancer three years ago. Green was working in a hospital at the time, and his father died in that same hospital while he was on duty. “That moment changed me, and I poured all the pain, love, and reflection into this song,” he explains.

The emotional resonance of Forever is palpable, even within his family. When his niece first heard the track, she cried, moved by the depth of its sentiment. “At this point I knew I was ready to share my art with the world,” Green recalls.

While the influences of 90s R&B remain central to his sound, emotion has always been at the core of his music. Forever is raw and vulnerable, and it is the first time Green has publicly spoken about such a personal loss. “This one’s for anyone who’s ever loved and lost. I hope it resonates,” he shares.

Forever is now available on all digital platforms, inviting listeners to experience a deeply intimate side of one of Britain’s most promising new R&B talents.
