Fredrik Norlindh Unveils Genre-Defying Single ‘Graphic Chills’
Fredrik Norlindh, songwriter, singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, continues to prove his boundless musical versatility with the release of his latest single, Graphic Chills. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Fredrik has cultivated a reputation for creating music that seamlessly blends melodic depth, emotive vocals, and rich textures across genres. His influences span an eclectic range, from iconic acts like Muse, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, ABBA, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, and Kent, to masterful songwriters such as John Williams, Max Martin, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Per Gessle. This broad palette fuels a sound that moves effortlessly between lush symphonic productions and sleek, modern electronic pop.
Graphic Chills is a daring, almost three-part composition that resists easy categorisation, weaving together elements of EDM, rock, gospel, and more. Lyrically, the track wrestles with the tension between the modern pursuit of “perfection” through technology and the timeless beauty of the authentic and natural. Fredrik highlights both sides of this contrast, even referencing how Freddie Mercury’s vocals have been pitch-corrected in recent Queen releases. One striking line encapsulates this balance:
"One step closer to the brainless side, Two steps further from the heartless side."
The single reflects the broader artistic vision Fredrik has been honing for years. His Swedish EP Förstå, Först Då was a monumental undertaking, featuring nearly 100 musicians, including a full symphony orchestra, and collaborations with renowned artists such as Erik Arvinder, Martin Landström, and the Stockholm Studio Orchestra. His composition Minnesverket has since earned international acclaim, winning Best Contemporary Instrumental at the prestigious Intercontinental Music Awards in Los Angeles on August 24, 2025, a milestone that cemented his standing as a composer of rare depth and imagination.
Looking ahead, Fredrik’s upcoming English debut album, Contrasting Notes, promises a collection of genre-blending songs that span electronic pop, indie rock, and cinematic orchestral soundscapes. Singles such as Can’t You See Me and Objectified showcase this diversity, and the album itself was recorded at the legendary Soundtrade Studios with esteemed producer Behshad Ashnai. Beyond his solo work, Fredrik also serves as lead singer and songwriter for the band Comfort Addict, further highlighting his multifaceted artistry.
With Graphic Chills, Fredrik Norlindh delivers more than just another single. It is a bold statement of artistic freedom, an exploration of the delicate interplay between perfection and authenticity, wrapped in an exhilarating and unpredictable listening experience.
