International Slim captures an irresistible attraction on ‘Joro’

International Slim brings romance, rhythm and laid-back energy together on his latest single, ‘Joro’.

Based in Lagos, Nigeria, the Afrobeat artist creates music shaped by infectious African rhythms, smooth melodies and real-life experiences. His sound moves between confidence and vulnerability, turning feelings around love, heartbreak, ambition and personal growth into songs listeners can connect with.

‘Joro’ focuses on the magnetic pull between two people. International Slim captures the excitement of attraction and the feeling of being drawn towards someone who is difficult to resist. Rather than overcomplicating the moment, the track allows its warm mood and romantic theme to take the lead.

A relaxed Afrobeat groove gives the song its easy movement, while the melodic delivery keeps everything smooth and inviting. Its catchy vocal lines sit naturally within the production, creating a track that feels equally suited to late-night drives, romantic playlists or quieter moments with someone special.

Inspired by artists including Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Joeboy and Kizz Daniel, International Slim draws from modern Afrobeat while developing his own identity. His music combines feel-good energy with honest emotion, allowing his personality and experiences to come through without losing the rhythm at the centre of his sound.

That balance is clear throughout ‘Joro’. The track is chilled enough to settle into, but its infectious groove ensures it still carries plenty of movement. It feels romantic without becoming overly sentimental, delivering attraction and desire through a light, captivating atmosphere.

Following songs such as ‘REALFACE’, ‘Yawa’, ‘Smooth Operator’, ‘Heartbreak & Party’ and ‘Michael Jackson’, the single continues International Slim’s focus on authenticity, emotion and Afrobeat culture. Each release adds another part to an artist whose music is grounded in being real, living boldly and turning everyday experiences into something others can make their own.

With ‘Joro’, International Slim delivers a smooth Afrobeat track that understands the power of a strong melody and an irresistible connection.
