B-Kas Reworks Tory Lanez’ ‘Lady Of Namek’
At 20, B-Kas has already made a striking start as an independent artist. Just three months after releasing their first track, they have reached more than 1.5 million streams and built a following of over 15,000 people across platforms. Now taking a semester away from college to focus fully on music, B-Kas is using that time to develop a sound that draws from several different corners of electronic music.
Their production brings synths and bass together with touches of hip hop and jazz. B-Kas moves between styles including tech house, electropop, progressive house, alternative R&B and melodic dubstep, giving them plenty of room to experiment with rhythm and atmosphere.
On the B-Kas remix of Tory Lanez’ ‘Lady Of Namek’, that approach takes shape through synthpop and alternative R&B. The remix offers a fresh electronic take on the original, with its sound shaped around layered synths and bass. It also reflects B-Kas’ interest in bringing together different influences rather than staying within a single genre.
With an early audience already growing and a clear focus on music, B-Kas is setting out to explore what their production can become. ‘Lady Of Namek’ gives listeners a new way into a familiar track, while offering a glimpse of the young producer’s developing style.
