Steve Hewitt Releases New Album 'Never Two Days The Same'
Kent-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Steve Hewitt has officially released his brand-new studio album Never Two Days The Same. The independent 11-track record, produced by Paul West, is available now on both limited CD and digital platforms.
Arriving as the follow-up to his acclaimed 2019 debut Bigger Than Words, the new album showcases a refined evolution in Hewitt’s songwriting and sound. Weaving together Americana, Folk and Country influences with a deeply acoustic soul, Never Two Days The Same embodies his commitment to artistic versatility. Stripped-back production lends the collection an authenticity that mirrors the intimacy of his live performances while highlighting the maturity and depth of his song-craft.
Honest and Soul-Bearing Storytelling
Hewitt has long been recognised for his ability to pen universally relatable songs. His velvety, soulful vocal tone sits atop simple but effective melodies, making each track immediately engaging. Lyrically, he draws from both introspection and observation, balancing lighter moods with more contemplative shades. Regardless of tone, his delivery remains heartfelt and unflinchingly honest.
The album offers music from the perspective of a humble working-class father, husband and Christian, shying away from predictable instrumentation and polished studio gloss. Adding further texture are contributions from Paul West (vocals, drums), Louise Parsons (vocals), Ant Wellman (bass) and Miriam Cox (cello), giving several tracks a dynamic depth.
A Familiar Presence on the British Acoustic Scene
With a reputation built on intimate live performances, Steve Hewitt has become a familiar and respected presence across the British acoustic music circuit. Over the years, he has shared stages with the likes of Martin Simpson, Mark Morriss of The Bluetones, Newton Faulkner, Jenn Bostic, Robb Johnson, The South and Emma Stevens. Festival appearances include The British Country Music Festival, Car Fest and Black Deer Festival. His music has also enjoyed global airplay, with support from BBC Radio Kent and features on outlets such as Hot Country TV in the UK and Ireland and The Country Network in the United States.
