Bridgette Bravo Confronts Self-Image with ‘odd body’

Emerging from Singapore’s burgeoning alternative music scene, Bridgette Bravo is making waves with her bold and unapologetic sound. Describing herself candidly, Bridgette shares, “I’m a small girl from a small country with big tits and bigger dreams.” Her bedroom doubles as both a creative studio and a sanctuary, a place where she produces alternative and electronic pop music and, occasionally, drifts off to sleep while watching kill counts.

Her latest single, ‘odd body’, delves into her conflicted feelings towards her own body. Writing the track proved challenging, yet Bridgette allowed herself to embrace vulnerability, exploring themes of suffocation, confusion and self-reflection. The instrumentals amplify this emotional intensity, blending drums, pads, bass, synths and ambient noise to evoke a sense of discomfort and darkness. Her vocals are carefully crafted to mirror the emotions threaded throughout the track, making for a deeply immersive experience.

‘odd body’ is part of Bridgette’s debut EP, her “lovechild,” scheduled for release this fall. True to her ethos, every track on the EP strives to be real, honest and raw and ‘odd body’ is no exception. Through her music, Bridgette Bravo continues to assert herself as an unflinching voice in alternative and electronic pop, unafraid to explore the intricacies of identity, desire and emotion.
