Thomathy's Favourites: June 2025

There’s something about this month’s playlist that feels like summer. You know that sun-soaked, windows-down, breezy-but-electric kind of feeling? That’s exactly what this mix gives me. June’s soundtrack blends fresh voices from emerging and independent artists with the polished brilliance of some already well-established names.

Honestly, I feel a bit late to the party with a few of these – some tracks have been out for a while – but they’ve found new life in my ears this month. Here’s a breakdown of the songs I’ve had on repeat. Dive in, and don’t forget to check out the playlist at the end.

"Midnight Sun" – Zara Larsson

Zara knows how to deliver a shimmering pop anthem, and "Midnight Sun" is no different. It’s romantic, glowing and perfect for those late summer nights.

"Chargie" – Alesha Dixon, Tom Moutchi

This one’s cheeky and rhythmic, full of charm. Alesha’s flair combined with Tom’s smooth vocals makes it a subtle summer bop with plenty of character.

"Vitamin D" – Sunny Daydream

Yes, this track featured on my 2024 Favourites, but after watching Sunny Daydream’s Behind the Lyrics video, I’ve fallen back in love with it. It really screams summer with its bright energy and sunny vibes.

"Diet Pepsi" – Addison Rae

This one’s fizzy, catchy and a bit tongue-in-cheek. Addison delivers pop with a wink, and it’s surprisingly addictive.

"Sports car" – Tate McRae

A smooth, emotional ride. This feels like driving through the sunset with your thoughts in the passenger seat. Tate captures the mood perfectly.

"FAMOUS" – ALLDAY PROJECT

A track that captures the craving for digital-age stardom. Shiny yet grounded, it’s a low-key anthem for anyone chasing a dream.

"Illegal" – PinkPantheress

Short, sweet and effortlessly cool. PinkPantheress offers her usual blend of intimacy and lo-fi beats with real impact.

"RAW" – Bridgette Bravo

Raw by name, raw by nature. Emotionally open and direct, Bridgette gives us honesty without any gloss.

"Plastic Box" – JADE

Heartache wrapped in futuristic pop. JADE makes vulnerability sound sleek, but still hits you where it hurts.

"glass" – camo.

A light, airy track that seems to float. Minimalist and mesmerising, this one is perfect for quiet summer evenings.

"party 4 u" – Charli XCX

An underrated gem from Charli’s vault. Dreamy, emotional and a little chaotic, it feels like crying at 3am in a glitter-covered club.

"Fowler Ave" – The Black Ace

Laid-back but confident. This track feels like the soundtrack to a solo stroll through the city. Smooth, stylish and reflective.

"Ronnie" – Creative Disaster, Codakk Jay

Moody and cinematic. There’s a story behind this one, and you can feel every bit of it through the delivery and production.

"BTG" – KiiiKiii

Bold, sharp and full of attitude. KiiiKiii brings serious presence here. A proper standout track.

"Lately" – Stov Da CEO

A thoughtful and soulful piece. Great for late-night reflection or when you're deep in your feelings.

"Brick By Brick" – Say Now

About rebuilding and persistence. A steady rhythm and heartfelt message make this one quietly powerful.

"Gameboy" – KATSEYE

Bubbly and nostalgic with a futuristic twist. KATSEYE’s playful energy makes this track a fun one to return to.

"GRWM" – Lorde

Lorde gets introspective again. This feels like overhearing a close mate talking about life while getting ready for a night out. Personal and beautifully understated.

"I create in color now" – The Quiet North

Gentle and poetic. This track unfolds like a diary entry, full of quiet confidence and emotional depth.

"gggiiiiirrrrlllll" – EDEN

A chaotic swirl of thoughts and sounds. EDEN continues to experiment in fascinating ways, and it pays off here.

"Freneticism" – Denden Guanlaø

Wild and brilliant. This track refuses to stay in one place and is bursting with energy and imagination.

"Melody" – Hello London.

A soft, emotional track to round things out. "Melody" has a timeless quality that lingers long after it ends.

This playlist feels like a perfect snapshot of my June 2025 – warm, chaotic, heartfelt and full of new discoveries. Some of these artists are just beginning to make waves, while others are already well-known, but each track brings something memorable. Give it a listen and let me know which ones you connect with.
