Emerging from the vibrant city of Chernivtsi, Ukraine, DxriaXMxaria is a boundary-pushing phonk project that tells a story of friendship, resilience, and musical evolution. Born from the creative synergy of two longtime friends, their journey stretches back to August 2003, when one half of the duo was born into a world coloured by sound. Despite early years spent in music school mastering wind instruments, the conventional structure never quite captured their true passion, the freedom of raw, experimental music.

Their paths crossed once again in 2020 at a local lyceum, where fate introduced them to RetroHaze and AndyHoror. This meeting sparked the formation of The Lofl, a rock band that soon evolved into Imitation of a Noisy Company. During this chapter, they recorded multiple albums and even produced a music video, though it remained unreleased. However, as life’s circumstances shifted, especially with one member relocating abroad amidst the turmoil of war, the band disbanded, scattering their creative energy.

Despite distance and hardship, music remained the unbreakable thread that bound them. This shared dedication gave birth to DxriaXMxaria, a fresh project that honours their roots while carving out a distinct sound. The duo delves deep into the dark, atmospheric realms of phonk, seamlessly merging gritty Memphis-inspired beats with haunting melodies and introspective lyrics. More than just a musical endeavour, DxriaXMxaria is a resurrection of their shared dreams, reimagined with modern edge and profound emotional depth.
