Hogleone Releases New Single ‘A Song for You’ Ahead of Upcoming Album ‘Many Waters’

Hogleone, the musical project of Jorgen Hoglund, has unveiled his latest single, A Song for You, a vibrant and uplifting track that previews his forthcoming album Many Waters (Memoirs of a Traveling Wonderer), set for release on 3rd October 2025.

Jorgen Hoglund, born in Sweden but now an American musician, boasts an extensive and diverse musical background. Early in his career, he played with several notable acts including Tres Coronas, Imperial Sounds, Jacarandas, and the Gå Runt Show alongside Bernt Dahlbeck and Mia Adolfson. Remarkably, at just nineteen, Hoglund was lead guitarist for a year with Little Gerhard and his Rocking G-men in Mexico. Upon returning to Sweden, he continued touring in the folkparks as part of Little Gerhard & Sunny Girls.

Hoglund also formed the group Tequila with his Mexican friends Renato Lopez, Rafael Sida, Pepe Ballote, and British musician Sam Marsden. The band enjoyed a four-year run before Hoglund emigrated to the United States, where he produced several albums before stepping away from the music industry for a time.

However, a few years ago, Hoglund re-emerged with renewed passion, setting up a home recording studio and embarking on a truly solo venture. For the upcoming album Many Waters, he single-handedly wrote all the songs, performed every instrument, recorded all vocals, arranged, produced, mixed and mastered the tracks himself. He avoided using any artificial intelligence in the process.

Since September 2023, Hoglund has been releasing a steady stream of singles from the album, each arriving monthly. The journey began with I Believe in Love on 6th September, followed by Leaving It Up to You on 3rd October, and A Melody on 8th November. In July 2024, he also released a Swedish-language single, Hoppas att du förstår.

The newest single, A Song for You, is a joyful composition that builds gradually, culminating in a rich tapestry of brass, guitars, steel drums and percussion. True to Hoglund’s signature approach, all the instrumental parts were played by the artist himself, lending the track a deeply personal and authentic feel.

Fans of eclectic, heartfelt music can look forward to the full Many Waters album next autumn, marking a remarkable return for Hogleone, the travelling wonderer who continues to craft his unique sonic stories with unwavering dedication.
