Sharon Turns Bedroom Infatuation Into Garage-Pop On “In My Bedroom”

Sharon’s latest single, “In my bedroom”, captures the all-consuming feeling of being infatuated with someone. Based in Europe, the singer, songwriter, producer and sound engineer has drawn heavily on the continent’s dance music culture to shape his sound. Here, he brings that influence into a track that feels both made for the dancefloor and rooted in the privacy of a bedroom.

The fourth single from his upcoming EP Eurolove, “In my bedroom” pairs a UK garage-inspired instrumental with intimate, heavily processed vocals. Syncopated drums give the track its punch, while atmospheric synthesisers soften the edges. Sharon’s whispery vocal sits close to the listener, its layered, over-processed sound adding a more hyperpop feel.

That contrast gives the song its character. The production moves with the energy of garage, but the vocal delivery feels personal and inward-looking. It sits between electro-pop, dance music and bedroom pop without settling neatly into just one of them.

For Sharon, the track began with the kind of infatuation that makes it difficult to think about anything else. “In my bedroom is really about that phase where you're just completely infatuated with someone. You can’t get them out of your head, so all you can really do is lock yourself in your room and keep writing songs about them,” he shares.

That idea runs through the song’s mix of restless rhythm and hushed vocals. “In my bedroom” turns a private fixation into something with movement, pairing the urge to stay alone with a beat that keeps pushing forward. As the fourth single from Eurolove, it offers another glimpse of Sharon’s blend of European dance influences and intimate songwriting.
