Paul Hetherington Turns Up the Energy With ‘Addicted to You’
Australian dance-pop artist Paul Hetherington is back with his latest single, ‘Addicted to You’, an energetic club track shaped by the sounds of 1990s Eurodance and 2010s EDM.
Released on 7 August, the single brings together pulsing dance production, pop melodies and the kind of immediate energy designed for busy dancefloors. Written and produced by Hetherington himself, ‘Addicted to You’ continues the momentum he has built over the past couple of years while leaning into a nostalgic side of electronic music.
The track was mixed and mastered by Steve ‘Mr. Mig’ Migliore, whose credits include work with Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and LeAnn Rimes. His involvement helps give the single a polished finish without taking away from the high-energy character at its centre.
Hetherington has steadily been making his mark on the international dance scene from his base in Melbourne. His breakout year arrived in 2024 with ‘Dirty Mind’, a single that received remixes from Grammy winner Dave Audé, Grammy-nominated Swedish DJ and producer StoneBridge, and UK production team 7th Heaven.
‘Dirty Mind’ went on to reach number 12 on Music Week’s UK Commercial Club Chart. It also gained radio support around the world, including plays from SiriusXM, NRJ and Hot Hits UK, as well as Joy 94.9 and Raw FM in Australia.
He followed that success with ‘Thrill of the Chase’, supported by remixes from 7th Heaven, Wayne G, Jared Jones and Billboard-charting producer Jadion. The release performed strongly across several DJ and dance charts, eventually reaching number 15 on the UK Commercial Club Chart.
At the beginning of 2025, Hetherington teamed up with UK producers Luv Foundation (UK) for ‘Everything’. The track became another major club success, peaking at number four on the UK Commercial Club Chart and number five on the UK Upfront Club Chart.
Later that year, he released his own version of New Zealand artist Dane Rumble’s ‘Cruel’, produced by 7th Heaven. A remix EP followed in early 2026, featuring new versions from Moto Blanco, Cutmore and Bearly Disco. The release reached number seven on the UK Commercial Club Chart, adding another strong result to Hetherington’s growing catalogue.
‘Addicted to You’ feels like a natural next step. Its combination of classic Eurodance influence and more recent EDM production gives it a familiar rush, but the track is built for today’s clubs and playlists. It is bright, direct and unapologetically made for dancing.
The original single is only the beginning, with a remix EP also planned for a later date. UK remix team Until Dawn, known for their work with artists including P!nk, Dannii Minogue and Ava Max, are already confirmed, with further remixers still to be announced.
With ‘Addicted to You’, Paul Hetherington delivers another confident dance-pop release and keeps his run of club-focused singles moving firmly forwards.
