When Love Becomes Music: Jane Marie and Jessica Mia Release “Love You”

Songwriter and composer Jane Marie returns with a deeply personal new single, Love You, performed with vocalist Jessica Mia. The track is the fourth song on Jane Marie’s forthcoming jazz EP, due for release in June 2026.

Jane Marie has spent 25 years working professionally in music. After studying at the London College of Music, she built a career across television, theatre, and film. Her work includes compositions for the BBC and Channel 4, as well as the stage musical A Tale of Two Cities and the film score for the award-winning Othello, produced by GoBig Productions.

In 2019, Jane Marie began collaborating with Jessica Mia. Together they created the album Songs of 2020, a collection of 12 tracks centred on life, love and loss. The album was released in March 2024 and marked the beginning of a continuing creative partnership.

Since then, the pair have released three further ballads, building a clear musical identity rooted in storytelling and emotional detail. Their next project is a jazz EP scheduled for June 2026, which signals a shift in sound while keeping the focus on intimate songwriting.

Love You sits at the heart of this new release. Jane Marie wrote the song after becoming a mother, drawing directly from the experience of holding her newborn babies for the first time. The track reflects the intensity of that moment and the difficulty of expressing such a strong form of love in words.

The song was written as an attempt to translate maternal love into melody. It speaks to parents who experience deep, unconditional love that cannot easily be explained, only felt.

With Love You, Jane Marie and Jessica Mia continue their collaboration with a track that is simple in message but rooted in personal experience, carried by understated composition and emotional clarity.
