Kelsie Watts Kicks Off a Huge 2026 with New Single "Made for Your Love"
Kelsie Watts is having a standout year, balancing life as a Broadway leading lady while continuing to make her mark as an independent pop artist. Now, she's adding another milestone with the release of her latest single, Made for Your Love, arriving on 10 April 2026.
The upbeat track is something a little different for Watts, who admits she had never written a proper love song before.
"I realised I'd never written a love song and I wanted to write one that people could dance to," she says. "Made For Your Love is filled with phrases I've used in normal life when describing the love of my life, Brandon. I was inspired a lot by Whitney's How Will I Know and brought a lot of that idea into the song. I hope people love it and it becomes their new love anthem."
The single arrives after an incredible run on Broadway, where Watts spent a year playing Queen Jane Seymour in SIX! The Musical. Her performance earned her an iHeartRadio Music Award nomination for Favourite Broadway Debut and introduced her to an even wider audience.
As if that wasn't enough, she has also taken on one of musical theatre's most famous roles, starring as Satine in the Tony Award-winning Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Her opening night at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on 24 March marks another major moment in a career that continues to gather pace.
Alongside her theatre success, Watts has remained focused on her music. Her 2025 single Fit In received critical praise and climbed to number 17 on the Spin Counts digital radio chart. Fans were also treated to both an energetic dance remix and an acoustic version featuring Whitesnake guitarist Joel Hoekstra.
More recently, she put her own spin on Sia's Chandelier for The GRAMMYS ReImagined series, stripping the song back to a simple piano arrangement that highlighted her powerful vocals.
Watts' journey began in Lubbock, Texas, where she was born into a musical family and discovered her passion for singing at just two years old. She performed in church and school productions before studying opera and commercial music at Belmont University in Nashville, where she started writing the songs that would shape her career.
Her independent releases soon caught the attention of the music industry, leading to a collaboration with Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean on his solo single Hurts to Love You. She later impressed millions on Season 19 of The Voice with her performance of Kelly Clarkson's I Dare You, earning a place on Team Kelly and building a loyal fanbase.
Her catalogue continues to grow with deeply personal songs such as I Can't Say Goodbye, written in memory of her late brother, along with After Midnight and Forgetful, a duet penned by legendary songwriter Diane Warren.
With new music on the way and a starring role on Broadway, Kelsie Watts is showing no signs of slowing down. Made for Your Love is another step forward for an artist who continues to prove she is just as comfortable creating pop music as she is commanding the stage.
If 2026 is anything to go by, there is plenty more to come from one of the industry's most versatile rising stars.
