Sibb’s “Alright” Marks a Cinematic Shift Into Moral Clarity and Emotional Vulnerability

On 19 May 2026, singer-songwriter Sibb released the official music video for “Alright”, a haunting and soulful ballad taken from his debut EP Delusion. Issued via Embassy of Music, the visual forms the second chapter in a cinematic trilogy that began with “Mine”, continuing the artist’s expanding narrative world.

“Alright” sits within Act I, titled Hyperromanticism, a thematic section of Delusion that examines the emotional highs and contradictions of modern relationships. While earlier material focused on intensity, desire and attraction, this track turns inward. It explores moral boundaries, self-reflection and the emotional aftermath that follows a difficult personal decision.

Sibb has described the song as being inspired by a situation involving ethical conflict and emotional uncertainty. In “Alright”, the narrative centres on a character who is pursued by someone willing to cheat on their partner. The protagonist ultimately rejects the offer on moral grounds, yet the decision does not bring a simple resolution. Instead, it leaves behind insecurity and doubt, shaping the emotional core of the track.

Musically, the song draws influence from 1990s-style balladry and the smooth, expressive sonic approach associated with artists such as Lianne La Havas. This continues the EP’s broader exploration of hyperromanticism and positions “Alright” as a direct counterpart to “Mine”, extending the dialogue between temptation and restraint across the project.

The visual direction of “Alright” marks a clear shift from the world of “Mine”. Where the first instalment was defined by a “danger red” aesthetic symbolising obsession and emotional heat, this chapter moves into a “vulnerable blue” palette that reflects clarity, honesty and emotional sobriety. The change in colour language mirrors a shift in psychological tone, from tension to reflection.

In the video, Sibb appears stripped of earlier theatrical styling, presenting a more human and exposed figure. Dressed in white and adorned with a headpiece of pearls and diamonds, he moves through blue-lit corridors before emerging onto a quiet city rooftop at dusk. The imagery replaces heightened tension with stillness, capturing the quiet loneliness that can follow a morally charged decision.

As part of the ongoing Delusion trilogy, “Alright” reinforces Sibb’s commitment to cohesive storytelling across both music and visuals. The result is a carefully constructed world where sound, symbolism and narrative intersect, continuing to blur the line between music video and cinematic expression.
