ESSIRAY Unveils Jungle-Infused Pop Anthem "Make It Happen"

Irish singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist ESSIRAY has released her new single Make It Happen, marking the next chapter for one of Ireland’s most talked-about emerging artists. The heavily tipped rising talent and former opera singer shares a jungle-infused pop anthem born of reinvention, resilience, and a voice rebuilt.

Dublin-born and Paris-based, ESSIRAY is a unique presence in the contemporary music scene. Her sound blends classic pop songwriting with underground influences from UKG, jungle, and drum and bass, combining live instrumentation with the technical skill and emotional depth of a classically trained vocalist.

ESSIRAY began her musical journey at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and completed a master’s degree in Popular Music Practice at BIMM, specialising in composition. Years of piano training and teaching helped shape her musicianship and technical ability. After six years performing at prestigious venues, including Dublin’s National Concert Hall, a vocal injury permanently changed her voice. She turned to production, songwriting, and electronic experimentation to rebuild her sound. Her voice has become a key part of her music, not just for melody but also for texture, harmony, and atmosphere.

Since her debut, ESSIRAY has been named The Future of Irish Music by District Magazine, selected as an RTÉ 2FM Rising Artist 2025, featured in Hot Press Hot For 2024, and tipped by tastemaker Nialler9. Her previous releases, including Lose You, Love Type, and Let’s Go Driving, received national airplay, while Floating Up earned recognition from Notion magazine.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as FKA twigs, Confidence Man, Catching Cairo, PinkPantheress, and Paradis, ESSIRAY has performed at major Irish festivals including Electric Picnic, Forbidden Fruit, and Beyond the Pale. She has also supported Moonchild Sanelly, Miya Folick, and GoldFish, delivering energetic and emotive live shows.

On Make It Happen, ESSIRAY explores a moment of personal realisation. Jungle-tinged rhythms meet acoustic bass and layered harmonies, with lyrics about believing in yourself and making things happen.

The single is the first in a series of releases planned from ESSIRAY’s studio in 2026 as she continues to carve out her own lane in electronic pop and strengthen her presence on the Irish music scene.
