Alyssa Gallarneau Returns with Vibrant New Single “Soho”
Emerging singer-songwriter Alyssa Gallarneau has returned with her vibrant new pop single, “Soho”, the second release from her forthcoming album. Produced by Ian Barter, known for his work with Amy Winehouse and Paloma Faith, the track is an upbeat, stylish pop song full of energy and charm.
“Soho” mixes funky rhythms, colourful production, and playful storytelling to capture the exciting, imperfect moments of falling in love. Gallarneau’s vocals pair effortlessly with Barter’s production, creating a sound that feels modern while still carrying the timeless appeal of classic pop romance.
The song tells the story of a girl who knows she is in love but cannot quite get it right. She tries repeatedly to win the attention of the one she likes, missing the mark in quirky and endearing ways. Through its playful awkwardness, longing, and sweet confidence, “Soho” shows that even when things go wrong, everything will be alright.
A native of Chicago, IL, Gallarneau is signed to Mark Morrison’s MackLife Records. In 2025, she began working on her upcoming album in London, UK, collaborating with Barter to craft a sound that is both contemporary and timeless.
“Soho” follows the success of her first single from the album, “Love Business (Sha-Boom)”, released in February. That track has already gained over 2 million views on TikTok and nearly 100,000 streams on Spotify. It also landed on editorial playlists including Apple Music’s New in Pop, Future Hits, and New Music Daily, as well as Audiomack’s Love: Pop playlist. The new single marks the start of an exciting creative period for Gallarneau as she continues to build her reputation with music fans and tastemakers around the world.
