VAN RAVEN Releases Single “Where Did All the Humans Go?”
Tasmanian-based Dutch alt-rock artist VAN RAVEN has released her latest single, Where Did All the Humans Go?, a powerful reflection on authenticity in a culture obsessed with perfection. Known for exploring the darker edges of emotion, VAN RAVEN blends alternative rock with elements of pop and metal. Her music balances vulnerability and tension, and her distinctive contralto voice defies conventional expectations of female vocals.
After completing a Certificate IV in Music in 2025, VAN RAVEN continued to write and release original material independently. Her songwriting often explores themes of love, lust, spirituality, and identity, while questioning modern ideas of perfection, control, and self-presentation.
Where Did All the Humans Go? confronts the pressures of modern music and online culture. The track challenges the demand for flawless vocals, filtered appearances, and lip fillers. Inspired by direct online criticism and the constant push to be unreal, the song celebrates rawness and imperfection. One line, “perfection is a lie,” captures the essence of the track. It is a call to reject illusion and embrace being a messy, real human.
VAN RAVEN encourages listeners to be real, be themselves, and show who they truly are. Where Did All the Humans Go? sets the tone for her debut album, SECRETS, which is scheduled for release in 2026. The single is now available across all major streaming platforms.
