Bear Down Bear Releases Single “That One Time”

Bear Down Bear, the musical project of Jeff and Jessey Eagan, returns with their latest single, That One Time, offering a mix of nostalgia, humour, and heartfelt storytelling. With Bear Down Bear, Jeff and Jessey focus on nostalgia rock, combining simple melodies with tight vocal harmonies to create songs that bring back fond, awkward memories of simpler times when grades and friendships felt all-important.

Although the duo performs mainly as an acoustic act, their recordings embrace a full-band sound. Influences such as The Format, The Head & The Heart, and Pedro the Lion can be heard in their layered instrumentation, which adds depth to even the most intimate songs.

That One Time is a time capsule of Jeff and Jessey’s own relationship, tracing the journey from pre-love to present-day love. Despite making music together for over twenty years, they have known each other far longer. This song was partly inspired by a fan who asked why they had not written any love songs. It celebrates long-lasting and deep affection. Reminiscent of early The Head & the Heart, the track moves swiftly, capturing thirty years of stories in under three minutes.

Bear Down Bear began performing in Tucson and across Arizona in 2025, although Jeff and Jessey have played under different names in several states over the past two decades. That One Time highlights their musical growth and serves as a joyful celebration of enduring love and shared memories.
