Bödel Unleash Their Latest Single: “Domare och bödel”
Sweden’s fastest-rising punk band, Bödel, is back with a brutal new single, “Domare och bödel”, released on 9 January 2026. The track is a perfect example of the band’s unstoppable energy and fierce approach to punk.
Bödel formed in early 2024 with vocalist Leya, drummer Masken, and guitarist Arvid. They were soon joined by Henrik on bass, and later Mikael “Mickeyboi” Norén on drums. From their first rehearsal to international attention in just weeks, Bödel quickly became one of Sweden’s most talked-about new punk bands. Aftonbladet called them “the most interesting punk band for the future right now.”
“Domare och bödel” is the first single from their debut album Dödsbringaren, due on 30 January 2026 via Distat (Cramada/Sound Pollution). Produced by Jocke Rydbjer from Wolfbrigade at Wolfden Studio, the track delivers raw d-beat, crust, and hardcore in its purest form. It captures the same chaotic energy that has made Bödel’s live shows legendary, from their debut at Skjulet in Gothenburg to their growing international following.
The band line-up on the single is:
-
Leya – 19-year-old frontwoman and vocal powerhouse
-
Arvid (The Crown, Deny) – guitar
-
Henke (Pastoratet, The Liptones, Vänsternäven) – bass
-
Micke (The Crown, Adept, Impious) – drums
The vinyl edition of the single is released through Flyktsoda/Cimex Records. Digital streaming will be available from 6 February. Bödel make it clear they are not here to play it safe, but to push punk to its limits.
“Domare och bödel” sets the tone for Dödsbringaren, an album fans have been waiting for. It promises speed, fury, and the uncompromising energy that has made Bödel one of Sweden’s most exciting new punk acts.
