Alice Sloan Unveils Haunting Debut Single "Return The Ghost"
Alice Sloan, an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Bangor, Northern Ireland, is beginning to make her mark with a sound all her own. She draws on the darkness of 90s grunge and the sweetness of modern alt-folk, creating music defined by melodic chord progressions, unusual time signatures, and soaring vocals.
Her debut single, Return The Ghost, explores the parts of ourselves we often try to bury. Recorded at Start Together Studios in Belfast, the track is a haunting call for purpose and meaning. It channels the psychedelic drone of The Velvet Underground and Mazzy Star while keeping the vulnerability of Jeff Buckley at its core.
Even before its official release on 16th January, Return The Ghost has already caught the attention of BBC radio, hinting at the promising career ahead for Alice Sloan. The single establishes her as an artist unafraid to confront the shadows while letting her own voice shine through.
