At first, the idea was that the kids had swapped Santa’s milk for bourbon, but the story soon changed to something more modern and playful. In the end, it was the children who accidentally found Dad’s gummies.

The song is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the chaos of Christmas morning. Ryan brought the story to life with a swing-jazz arrangement inspired by classics like Tequila and Dinah Washington’s recordings. It features acoustic bass, jazz guitar, strings, a full brass section, and a growling saxophone solo, combining retro charm with modern pop influences.
