Riverwoods x Jeanette Bengtsson Release Soulful Classic “Cruising”

Cruising is a soft rock song about coping with life’s challenges, especially through the support of someone close to you. The track features new lyrics by Jimmy Granstrom and Dave Prine, inspired by the Swedish song Du finns här by Lars Brundin, written with Herbert Tinz and Rebecka Molander.

Lars Brundin is a Swedish singer-songwriter whose music has been played regularly on P4 Malmöhus, one of Sweden’s largest regional radio stations. His debut album, Hotel Royal, received high praise from Expressen, one of Sweden’s leading newspapers.

The song also features vocals by Jeanette Bengtsson, who has toured the USA and Europe as part of the ABBA tribute band Arrival From Sweden. She has recorded and performed with singer-songwriter Michael Stolt and his band, which includes Roxette guitarist Jonas Isacsson.

Jimmy Granstrom and Lars Brundin also have a connection to Roxette. Their previous collaboration, Only Summer, received airplay on the SiriusXM show Nordic Rox, co-hosted by Roxette singer-songwriter Per Gessle.

Dave Prine comes from a musical family; his uncle is the legendary John Prine. When he is not writing music, he works on endangered language revitalisation and has contributed his voice to both the Navajo and Ojibwe dubbings of Star Wars.

With its heartfelt lyrics and classic soft rock sound, Cruising is a song that offers comfort and connection during difficult times, showing the enduring power of music to inspire and heal.
