Ava Della Pietra Spreads Holiday Cheer with "You Make It Christmas"

Pop artist and multi-instrumentalist Ava Della Pietra is kicking off the festive season with her holiday EP It’s Giving Christmas, celebrating the clever storytelling, heartfelt vocals and playful spirit her fans have come to love. The EP features two original seasonal tracks, You Make It Christmas and Reindeer Rebellion, with a bold reinterpretation of Wham!’s Last Christmas arriving just before Thanksgiving.

The EP opens with You Make It Christmas, an acoustic update of Ava’s debut single Christmas Tonight, which she released in 2019 at the age of 15. Reflecting on the song, Ava says, “Revisiting it in a more acoustic, mature way feels so nostalgic and beautiful. It brings forward all the warmth and closeness that have always made this song special to me.”

Ava has always had a strong connection to the holiday season. Christmas Tonight earned features in Just Jared Jr., Parade, and American Songwriter, while Reindeer Rebellion became a fan favourite through playful live performances on KTLA and the nationally televised Hollywood Christmas Parade. The EP embraces that festive spirit fully, offering a cosy and joyful soundtrack for the season.

Reindeer Rebellion charms listeners with a cheeky take on what happens when Santa’s reindeer decide they’ve had enough. Its clever lyrics and animated video have made it a recurring favourite during Ava’s holiday shows.

Soon, Ava will release her reinterpretation of Last Christmas, bringing a fresh take to the Wham! classic ahead of Thanksgiving.

At just 20 years old, Ava has released more than 20 singles, written over 150 original songs, and gained 27 million global streams with 1.5 million followers across platforms. She has worked with producers including Jon Levine (Dua Lipa), Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran), Shane Stevens (Ariana Grande), and Nash Overstreet (Meghan Trainor, Taylor Swift). Her music videos have won awards at more than a dozen international film festivals, and she has been featured by KTLA, WBUR, Tinnitist, American Songwriter, and Just Jared.

Ava began her professional career at seven and appeared on Broadway at ten in the original cast of School of Rock. She now balances music with studies in biology and music theory through the Harvard University – Berklee College of Music Joint Studies Program, creating pop songs that are smart, soulful, and sincere.
