Hogleone Unveils "Many Waters" Ahead of New Album

Hogleone, born Jorgen Hoglund in Sweden, is an American musician whose career has spanned continents and decades. From his early days playing with bands such as Tres Coronas, Imperial Sounds, Jacarandas, and the Gå Runt Show alongside Bernt Dahlbeck and Mia Adolfson, Hogleone displayed a passion for music that would guide him throughout his life. At just nineteen, he achieved a remarkable milestone by playing lead guitar with Little Gerhard and his Rocking G-men in Mexico for a year. Upon his return to Sweden, he continued touring with Little Gerhard in the folkparks as part of Little Gerhard & Sunny Girls.

During his time in Mexico, Hogleone formed the group Tequila with friends Renato Lopez, Rafael Sida, Pepe Ballote, and Sam Marsden from Britain. Tequila enjoyed four successful years before Hogleone emigrated to the United States. In America, he produced several albums but eventually took a step back from the music industry, marking the end of what he refers to as “ancient history”.

A few years ago, Hogleone re-entered the musical world with renewed energy and vision. Setting up a home recording studio, he embarked on a new creative journey. This time, he took complete control of the process, writing all the music and lyrics, performing every instrument, recording all vocals, and managing arrangements, production, mixing, and mastering himself. The result is a series of eleven singles released monthly, culminating in the forthcoming album Many Waters, scheduled for release in November 2025.

The album’s lead track, Many Waters (Memoirs of a Traveling Wonderer), perfectly encapsulates Hogleone’s artistic evolution. Opening with a gentle indie rock vibe, the song gradually layers rhythm and harmony to create a richly textured soundscape. Multiple interwoven themes build toward a grand, almost symphonic experience, with a soaring guitar solo driving the track to a majestic conclusion. It is a song that feels both intimate and epic, showcasing Hogleone’s dedication, skill, and passion for his craft.

With Many Waters, Hogleone invites listeners to join him on a journey through sound, memory, and emotion. It is a testament to his enduring creativity and a powerful reminder that true artistry knows no boundaries.
