The Parachute Testers Soar with New Single ‘Tired Bones’
The Parachute Testers, a collective of sonic explorers hailing from Leeds, Wexford and Ukraine, have unveiled their latest single, Tired Bones. Known for their ability to craft immersive soundscapes, the band blends soaring female vocals reminiscent of Mazzy Star, London Grammar and The XX with expansive instrumentation in the vein of Elbow, This Is The Kit, Zero 7 and even The Beatles. In short, they are storytellers with wings.
Tired Bones is a reflective journey, a song about seeking solace and healing by the sea when life’s storms become overwhelming. The track began its life on piano, and the recording process itself became part of the creative narrative, taking shape with a view over the Irish Sea at Black Mountain Studios in County Louth, Ireland.
The single is enriched by the evocative strings of Colm Mac Con Iomaire (The Frames / Swell Season), whose contribution adds a shimmering depth to the track’s lush sonic landscape.
Fans of The Parachute Testers have much to look forward to, with their debut album Halfway To Everywhere scheduled to land in early 2026. In the meantime, Tired Bones offers a glimpse into the band’s ability to marry introspective lyricism with expansive, cinematic sound, proving once again why this cross-cultural collective is one to watch.
