Liam Croker & Dave Pemberton Release Cinematic New Single “You’re Not The Only One”

Liam Croker, frontman of the acclaimed UK band The Winachi Tribe, has joined forces with Grammy-nominated producer Dave Pemberton for a stunning new single, “You’re Not The Only One”. Croker, whose music effortlessly blends soul, funk, and psychedelia, has been active in the UK music scene since around 2015. A multi ISSA Award-winning songwriter, he has collaborated with artists from across the globe, including Tommy Flanagan, Keith Allen, Danny Saber, and Howie, among others.

Dave Pemberton brings decades of studio experience to the collaboration. He began his career at Jacob’s Studios in Surrey before moving to London’s iconic Strongroom, where he spent 18 years as a freelance engineer under Strongroom Producer Management. During this time, Pemberton worked on projects with M-People, the Spice Girls’ debut album, and The Prodigy’s Fat of the Land, including mixing hits such as Groove Armada’s Superstylin’. He also engineered Orbital’s first-ever 5.1 music album and created a live Album/DVD with Motörhead. Later, at Sarm Studios, he collaborated with Liam Howlett on The Prodigy’s Invaders Must Die and co-produced tracks on Always Outnumbered. Pemberton also led his own West London studio and was part of the chill-out band Kinobe, producing music for adverts, syncs, and artists such as The Fedz, Trampoline, The King Blues, Fecky, The Section Boys, and Zdot.

“You’re Not The Only One” is a cinematic blend of soul, funk, and psych-pop that delivers an uplifting and emotionally resonant listening experience. The track opens with warm electric piano and sun-drenched acoustic guitars, gradually building with live percussion, trippy synth textures, and a bold horn section that adds swagger and confidence. Croker’s magnetic vocals, complemented by lush backing harmonies from Christy Bellis, carry the listener through to a euphoric, anthemic final chorus, a truly cathartic moment for fans of heart-and-hip music alike.

The single is a masterclass in modern production and songwriting, with Pemberton handling production, mixing, mastering, bass, drums, and keys, while Croker contributes vocals and lyrics. Guitar is provided by Pete Newton.
