Teagan Nolan Drops Hyper-Relatable Summer Pop Anthem ‘Desperate For Love’
Teen pop sensation Teagan Nolan is back and bolder than ever with her latest single, Desperate For Love, a glittering, high-energy track that’s as catchy as it is cutting. The fifteen-year-old singer-songwriter continues to make waves in the pop world with this sharply written summer anthem, dissecting the complex emotional aftermath of rejection with fearless honesty and irresistible flair.
Everyone handles rejection differently, and some, not very well at all. In Desperate For Love, Nolan zeroes in on the all-too-familiar situation where a person is turned down for a date and tries to reclaim their pride by flipping the script. With lyrics like “First I was beautiful, now I’m every bad word you know, I didn’t break your heart just your ego”, Teagan delivers a punchy narrative with maturity well beyond her years. The track pulses with infectious beats and radiates the kind of shimmering, dance-ready energy that makes it a surefire summer staple.
Accompanying the single is a dynamic and visually striking music video choreographed by Chloe May Marks. The video showcases mesmerising performances by dancers Madison Rose Tucker, Ava Pollard, Coleen Brennan, Megan Armstrong, and Teagan herself, proving once again that Nolan isn’t just a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter, but also a captivating performer with boundless charisma and presence.
Desperate For Love follows what has been a whirlwind ten months for the young Irish artist. Since her debut single Act Like It, which garnered worldwide radio play and earned a coveted spot on the RTÉ Radio 1 Recommended Playlist, Teagan has continued to impress. Her second release, Too Much To Take, demonstrated her emotive range with a heartfelt ballad that struck a chord with listeners. Over the festive season, Christmas Duet brought joy and generosity, raising funds for Barretstown and culminating in a memorable performance at the Barretstown Gala alongside Dermot Kennedy.
Teagan’s journey in the spotlight began long before her solo releases. A seasoned performer, she’s lit up the Late Late Toy Show stage four times, competed in Junior Eurovision Ireland in both 2022 and 2023, and has held leading roles in the Olympia Panto for five consecutive years. With appearances in national campaigns for Smyths Toys, performances at high-profile events for Arnotts and Taylor’s, and regular collaborations with Spotlight, Garageland and Music Generation, Nolan’s resume is already that of a seasoned professional. Most recently, her music has been booming through the speakers at Croke Park, Ireland’s largest venue.
Now, with the expert production support of Beardfire Music's Rohan Healy, Al Quiff and David Virgin, industry veterans with decades of experience and collaborations with the likes of Nick Cave, INXS and Billy Bragg, Teagan is stepping into a new phase of her career. Her unique blend of lyrical sharpness, pop sensibility, and magnetic stage presence is propelling her steadily towards the top tier of emerging global pop talent.
Desperate For Love isn’t just another pop track; it’s a statement. And if Teagan Nolan has anything to say about it, the world is going to be dancing, singing and talking about it all summer long.
