Coupdekat Unveils Vibrant New Single ‘What’s Next?/Rewind Disc Rewind!’

Coupdekat, a vital force in London’s underground music scene, returns with her explosive new double A-side single ‘What’s Next?/Rewind Disc Rewind!’, the second offering from her forthcoming fourth EP, BLOW HER UP AND SHE’LL BURST!.

Produced by the glitch-pop powerhouse Rosesleeves and Cesare Franceschi, known for work with Ezekiel, Masterpeace, and Re6ce, the track is a euphoric blend of hyperpop textures and synth-drenched playfulness. Their maximalist production lays the perfect foundation for Coupdekat’s flirtatious lyricism, as she captures the dizzying rush of summer infatuation with cheeky charm and unfiltered energy. There’s a nod to pop iconography too, with a nostalgic hook “We kiss like the very first time” channelling Madonna’s classic swagger with a contemporary twist.

Far from being just another pop provocateur, Coupdekat has built her name on a firm commitment to community. As co-founder of LOUD LDN and the more recent Club Gunk, an inclusive, affordable party space spotlighting the capital’s finest underground talent, she’s emerged as a key connector in an increasingly diverse and collaborative scene. Her presence extends beyond her own performances, having supported the likes of Piri & Tommy, Nine8 Collective, and Dream Wife, and joined forces with Charlotte Plank, Willow Kayne, and Issey Cross at Spotify’s Our Generation x LOUD LDN pop-up.

Her influence now reaches global stages, too. Most recently, her sound featured in Apple’s AirPods 520 advert in China, a milestone marking her ascent beyond the city she champions so passionately.

With ‘What’s Next?/Rewind Disc Rewind!’, Coupdekat cements herself as both a bold sonic experimenter and a cultural agitator, marrying glossy hyperpop aesthetics with the underground ethos she lives and breathes. It’s cheeky, magnetic, and unapologetically her. One thing’s for sure: whatever comes next, the scene will be watching.
