Arriving late at Lihue Airport, Brian’s journey to his condo near Poipu Beach was shrouded in darkness, with only the road to guide him. However, what awaited him the next morning was a view beyond his wildest dreams. From his balcony overlooking Poipu Beach, Brian was greeted by an awe-inspiring sunrise, illuminating the waves below. This view would become his daily ritual — stepping down to the shore, coffee in hand, to marvel at the whales breaching in the distance, playful dolphins, and turtles lazing on the sand.

Brian’s days on Kuai’i turned into a celebration of nature, as he and his wife became immersed in the island’s timeless allure. Kuai’i, with its rugged peaks and verdant valleys, holds an otherworldly charm. Known as the filming location for Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones, the island’s beauty feels ancient, almost prehistoric. One of the highlights of Brian’s journey was a helicopter ride that unveiled Kuai’i’s dramatic landscape from above. Flying over the rugged mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush greenery, he was moved by the island’s untouched splendour and the wild roosters that strutted around as if they had secrets to share.

When Brian left Kuai’i, he knew he’d return one day, craving once more to “feel the breeze” along the shoreline.
