Auve Refuses to Settle for Less on “One More”

Growing older often brings pressure to become more realistic. Dreams are weighed against responsibilities, stability becomes increasingly important and the safer option can start to feel like the sensible one. On her alternative pop single “One More”, Korean artist Auve pushes back against the idea that adulthood should mean shrinking her ambitions.

The song emerged during a strange period in Auve’s life. Like many independent musicians, she balances her creativity with a corporate job, making music during evenings and weekends. Her daily routine gradually became more comfortable, but that comfort also left her feeling as though something was missing.

Growing up as a woman in Korean society, Auve became familiar with the value placed on security and stability. There is nothing wrong with choosing that path, and she remains grateful for the life she has built. However, she began to question whether becoming comfortable also meant slowly accepting that she should want less.

It was a thought that frightened her because the ambition was still there. Auve still wanted to create more music, connect with listeners she had never met and perform in places she had never visited. Rather than allowing those hopes to fade, she turned them into the heart of “One More”.

The track captures the tension between remaining somewhere familiar and taking a chance on something greater. Its alternative pop sound supports a message that feels both personal and widely relatable, particularly for anyone trying to keep their creative ambitions alive alongside the demands of everyday life.

“One More” is not about dismissing stability or pretending responsibilities do not matter. Instead, it is about protecting the part of oneself that continues to dream beyond them. Through the song, Auve reminds listeners that growing up does not have to mean giving up on the life they still hope to create.
